Using the Mobile mCapture App

Capturing and indexing your photos and screenshots present on your iPad, iPhone or Android mobile device into selected DocuPhase Application cabinets is made simple and efficient by the DocuPhase mCapture product and its Indexing Profiles.

There are a potentially endless list of possible ways the DocuPhase mCapture App could be utilized with an iPad/iPhone/Android device.

One good example of a few ways the mCapture App can be effectively used is by an Insurance Claims Adjuster who must travel to different locations to inspect and report on claims damage for such things as:

      Automobile/Truck Damage Claims

      Marine Boat/Ship Damage Claims

      Home/Business Damage Claims

Since the iPad, iPhone and Android have excellent built-in cameras for photo capture, it is easy for the Claims Agent to photograph most damage situations with their iPad/iPhone then select the photo(s) from the mobile device’s Camera Roll later or immediately take a photo and capture it into DocuPhase using mCapture.

The following example illustrates how Claims Agents can easily classify, index and capture photos they have just taken with their mobile device at a remote site and upload them immediately or ‘Store & Forward’ them later when a network connection is available.

Since the Claims Agent will normally take many photos related to the claim while onsite,  a ‘Sticky Index’ feature allows an index such as ‘Claim Nr’ to be re-applied to each photo until a new index field value is entered.  This feature simplifies capture and indexing as well as promotes accuracy and consistency.

How this mobile capture example was designed and configured using the DocuPhase Application and Indexing Profile administration is explained in the section:
