The Binder Entry Points window is launched from the Task Editor>Entry Points tab by selecting an existing entry in the Entry Point List and pressing the Edit button or double-mouse-clicking the selected list entry as well as by clicking the New button to create a new Entry Point.
You may enter a name for the Entry Point and a Description on its General Tab.
The Binder Tab allows you to select which document(s) within the associated Binder definition are involved and under what trigger-conditions they will be introduced into workflow as a work item launching a new parent Process instance, as shown below.

Start Task>Entry Points>Binder Entry Point Description |
General Tab |
Allows you to assign a name to the Entry Point and enter a description for this Entry Point definition. |
Binders Tab |
This tab allows you to define and edit an Entry Point using the Binder Tab elements shown above as described in the rows listed below. |
Binder |
Select the desired named Binder definition needed to become the work item for this Entry Point (e.g., the AP binder). |
Required Documents |
Each of the Documents and/or Sub-Binder definitions for the selected Binder (e.g., the AP Binder definition) are listed with checkboxes for you to indicate which document will be used with a trigger-condition to cause this Entry Point to launch a new workflow Process instance. |
Conditions |
The Entry Point trigger-condition specification is entered into this field. The Ellipse button is available to optionally assist you. |
Conditions
Ellipse |
This button activates a wizard tool that assists you in composing the trigger-condition specification placing it in the Conditions field. |
Ignore Wait Time |
This checkbox option, when checked, suppresses the Max Wait Time feature. |
Max Wait Time |
This specification is active when the Ignore Wait Time checkbox is unchecked. It specifies the maximum amount of time, after it has received an initial required document, that a work item will wait for additional documents defined as required before releasing the work item to enter a Process’ workflow. |
Allow Re-entrance |
This checkbox option allows the Entry Point definition to permit an existing binder object to be re-admitted to workflow via this Start Task>Entry Point. |
OK button |

Cancel button |
Cancels the configuration editing, discards any unsaved changes and returns to previous screen. |
Apply button |
Applies unsaved configuration changes, remains at this screen to continue configuration. |
Note: The DocuPhase Application Administration page can be used to Enable and Disable Progression Events triggered by process Start-Task Entry-Point conditions for a specific DocuPhase Application.
For example, consider a Start Task Entry Point for a work item with two documents: an Invoice and a Check where this work item can enter workflow whenever either the Invoice or the Check document becomes available with a matching condition.
With this new feature using the DocuPhase Application Administration page, the Invoice entry-point condition can be disabled at the Application Admin page for the application so that workflow can only be entered by a work item when the Check becomes available in DocuPhase with a matching condition.
This situation will remain in effect until the Invoice Application is re-enabled.
