The Calculations tab offers two major function types:
§ Smart Calculations, and
§ Top List.
Before working with any of these calculation features, it is necessary to select the Object to which the chosen functions should apply.
As calculation definitions are supplied for an object and computed as needed, they typically add a column to the underlying cross-tab for the object to hold the calculated data so it can be appropriately presented and rendered in the tabular and graphical views of the object along with its other data.
