Appendix B:  ScanDox Keyboard Shortcuts

The ScanDox interface was designed with touch screen and mouse-free functionality in mind. By using common keystrokes, you can quickly and accurately navigate through the ScanDox window and menus.

Key

Description

Page Up

Navigates to the document row above the current row.

Page Down

Navigates to the document row below the current row.

Right Arrow

Navigates to the next page within a document.

Left Arrow

Navigates to the previous page within a document.

/ (forward slash)   

Splits the document.

Tab

Places the cursor in the next sequential field.

Note: When making selections using a UDL drop-down list and the Tab-key is pressed, the currently highlighted selection is chosen as the value in the current field and the cursor moves to the next sequential field.

Enter

Submits the document to DocuPhase. 

Note: When making selections using a UDL drop-down list and the Enter-key is pressed, the currently highlighted selection is chosen and the document is submitted to DocuPhase.

Caution:  Normally, use the Tab-key on index-field advance rather than the Enter-key to avoid incorrect DocuPhase submission attempts.

Delete

Removes the selected document from the ScanDox workspace.
