A Cube is a multi-dimensional organization of data as Dimensions and Measures in an OLAP database, such as a Data Warehouse, for optimized analytical performance as a Data Source or data feed for Analytics processing.
Note: By suitably interfacing SQL databases to supply data as if they were actual Cubes, the Analytics users can easily work with all Data Source Cubes without concern as to their actual implementation details in a uniform and consistent way.
