Byte

A byte, is a unit of information storage capacity measurement; usually considered to contain eight bits of data that is capable of storing one alpha-numeric character or two numeric digits.

The abbreviation KB (Kilobytes) refers to 1024 bytes; MB (Megabytes) to 1000 KB; GB (Gigabytes) to 1000 MB and TB (Terabytes) to 1000 GB.
