Barcode

A barcode is an optical machine-readable representation of data that is often used on product labels for efficient identification, but can also be used within documents to make them self-identifying and convey additional information that can be reliably read by OCR technology such as provided by the DocuPhase iDox and Xtractor products.

Barcodes are an effective way to identify turn-around documents (i.e., documents sent out to be returned with completed information) where the type of document, individual or account identifier, dates, and other information may be encoded in the barcode and read with good reliability upon its return.
