DocuPhase Login

Accessing DocuPhase is as simple as starting your Internet browser, entering the DocuPhase URL address and logging in.

1.  Start your Internet Explorer browser and enter the appropriate Web address for the DocuPhase system in the address field.

Note:  After an install, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) should automatically launch the log in dialog, however, if this does not happen, contact your System Administrator when you are not sure what to enter in the address field.

§ Important Note:  Use a fully-qualified named URL address (e.g., http://salesaws/DocuPhase) as the DocuPhase address in your browser to Login – Do NOT use a localhost address (e.g., http://localhost/DocuPhase) since this could lead to a permission error.

§ Additionally, it is important to note that DocuPhase also supports: Apple’s Safari, Google’s Chrome and  Mozilla Firefox internet browsers with its HTML5 Lightweight Viewer.

§ The IE browser uses the ActiveX full-function viewer by default, but a View Preference option allows IE to use the HTML5 Lightweight Viewer.

Important:  Be sure to set your View Preference initially so that each time you log in you will be using your preferred document & page viewer.  Both the Lightweight and Heavyweight viewers provide a full complement of viewing and annotation features.

2.  Click Go or press Enter.

3.  At the Login screen in the browser window, enter your Login ID and Password

Rounded Rectangle: Remember: Passwords are case sensitive!

If the login is unsuccessful, DocuPhase displays an error message and the cursor returns to the Login ID field.  Re-enter your login parameters and make sure to check your keyboard’s capital lock key indicator.

Note:  When Active Directory Integrated Services (ADIS) features are activated for DocuPhase and once the initial Login step is successfully completed, you may request the launch and use of other DocuPhase products such as ScanDox without the bother of having to Login again.  Since you are already identified by the prior Login, other DocuPhase product Login prompts are suppressed and automatically bypassed due to this Single-SignOn feature.

4.  A successful Login to DocuPhase displays the preselected default view of the Search page, unless another Start Page preference has been previously selected.

A search for the documents you need to work on or the type of document information you need to use allows you to begin your DocuPhase session activity.

Note: The Document Viewer Pane, displayed to the right, is initially empty and remains as such until the completion of a search.

View Preference settings allow a user to specify whether the default Search page will be displayed after login or one of the following DocuPhase pages:  Work Queue, Advanced Work Queue or one of the DocuPhase Analytics Dashboards, see the topic View Preferences Tab in the DocuPhase Global Preferences Settings topic.

For example, Progression-based workflow users may prefer to have their workflow task selections displayed by setting the ‘Work Queue’ as their starting page, as shown below.

5.  If this is the first time to login to DocuPhase, you should check your Preferences to be sure that you are using the DocuPhase Viewer you prefer, either the:

§ Lightweight HTML5 browser-based viewer that works with both workstations and a variety of mobile devices using their browser (Microsoft IE, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).

§ Heavyweight ActiveX client viewer that when downloaded and installed on the workstation or laptop, can be used with the Microsoft IE-browser.

Note: This option and default allowing the use of the Heavyweight ActiveX viewer is expected to be ‘sunset’ soon in a future release for use with the DocuPhase UI.  However, the Heavyweight viewer will continue to be the integrated viewer in the ScanDox product.

Setting your View Tab, Viewer  Preference is illustrated below:

6.  To log out of the DocuPhase program, simply select the Logout icon () on the Search page.

By design, DocuPhase automatically logs out a user when the program has been inactive for 30 minutes.  Upon re-activation, DocuPhase returns the user to the Login dialog box. To continue working with the program, the user must reestablish their login by entering their login ID and password combination again.

If you want to change the default System Options, navigate to ‘Administration>System Options>Login Timeout>Edit’.
